![]() ![]() She apparently loved Tory and wanted him but never had enough courage to just talk to him. ↠ After Abby left for the film she be starring in, she only kept in contact with Hayden. ↠ Abby slept with Tory only a few hours after her break up with Hayden. To this day, Hayden is left in the dark to the cheating. Her excuse to break up was that they just don't work together. She still NEVER told Hayden that she cheated on him. She broke up with him up as soon as they sat down instead of telling him before they left for dinner that was 30-40 minutes away. ↠ Hayden planned a romance outing for her birthday. ↠ Abby and Tory make out while she is with Hayden. Lastly, she was with Hayden for 85% of the book, while wanting his twin brother. It took until the LAST CHAPTER, for her to tell Tory how she felt about him. Unfortunately, this heroine can hold her own with family issues but indecisive when it comes to love. The reason I gave this book a shot was I was under the assumption she would be a strong-willed heroine. In book one, June is a weak heroine and Abby was her voice of reason. Abby is not much help to the situation as she is with Hayden out of comfort and is scared if she gets closer to Tory that they will end up like her parents. With their parents divorce and growing animosity towards each other, Abby being with Hayden only puts an even larger wedge between the boys. When Tory was going to put himself out there, Hayden (OM) strolls in holding Abby's hand and announces that they are together. Tory has always had a thing for Abby and when they are together it is never a dull conversation. June (who is Luca's girlfriend and now Tory's best friend) convinces him to put himself out there to Abby Cortez (main h). Tory (main H) was the fun sidekick that was never serious as well as rather pessimistic to fall for anyone. ![]() ![]() ↬ Tory D'Angelo = main hero, star athlete, sarcastic/quick witted ↬ Hayden D'Angelo = OM, Tory's twin, quiet, sweet, Abby's boyfriend ↬ Abby Cortez = main heroine, effective listener, dramatic, indecisive MOMMA DIDN T RAISE NO QUITTER SERIES*Disclaimer* Varsity Tiebreaker technically could be read as a standalone but it is preferred to read as part of a series to understand the friendship dynamic among the group. □ Family issues such as a controlling parent and divorce □ A love triangle involving twin brothers But mama, didn't raise no quitter and I want to finish this series out even if my head begins to throb like Harry Potter when his scar begins to hurt.
